Brazos Glassworks™ Stained Glass Classes in Bryan
Stained glass has a fascinating history and can quickly become an absorbing hobby. Our local classes and workshops give you a solid foundation so you start with a minimum of frustration.
For your first studio session, we concentrate on learning the basics of creating a stained glass project. We will be using the Tiffany Studios method of copper foiling each piece of stained glass before it's soldered together.
We will teach you how to read the pattern and prepare for your first project. You will learn how to choose patterns, stained glass selection, and proper glass cutting techniques.
We'll show you how to properly fit and foil each stained glass piece, and how to solder your pieces together for a secure and beautiful finish.
You will start with a stained glass design from a preselected set of patterns. Plan to complete your panel during the six two-hour class sessions.
Materials and supplies must be purchased separately, although some shop tools (grinders, light boxes, etc) will be available for use.
With the confidence you've gained from learning how to successfully cut and fit your first stained glass project, you'll soon begin thinking of starting a newer and more ambitious stained glass project!
Call Barbara, at (979) 823-0325 to discuss studio availability for your group. We encourage you to schedule your classes with a few friends or family members.
